IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD
Our mission is to render support to those underprivileged families with children, teenagers, and/or young adults. Elnora Lynn Perry Shands (ELPS) spent her entire 30+ years as a public school teacher assisting underprivileged families with free tutoring resources in various subjects for their children, teenagers, and young adults. She understood that education is a very important factor for the youth. She passed away on May 29, 2019; but her legacy will live on for many more years through this foundation/nonprofit and committed volunteers.
The programs that ELPS develops have the focus of children in mind to ensure they have access to all of the tools, resources, and education that they need in order to do well in life. We offer services for vision, dental, and hearing for children under the age of 18. Our approach is 360° and strives to make the communities, households, and learning experience as best as possible for the little people that deserve it. Take the time to learn what we do, how we do it, and how it's all vested in our why.

Parent Resources
Working to understand parents needs ultimately helps to ensure their children have access to what they need. Learn more information regarding services for vision, dental, and hearing for children.
Community Service
We strive to make the communities in which our children grow up safe, clean, and full of the resources that the children need to thrive. Help support our backpack with school supplies fundraisers and clothing & shoes fundraisers. Also, we support our local food banks.
Kindness improves our quality of life in the community. It brings people together because doing good deeds for others feels good. Showing kindness to others is just as rewarding as receiving it from someone else.
Spread the word, #Kindness-is-contagious.
